JUNIOR FUTSAL BRUNSWICK

NEW SEASON KICKING OFF 4th May 2019

Futsal is an exciting 5-aside indoor soccer game. Originating in South America, futsal is important in helping to develop ball control, teamwork, quick thinking, dribbling and passing. Though these skills are considered essential, at Local Sports our priority is the development of social skills, mateship and sportsmanship.

There will be 2 junior futsal leagues per year- Winter-Term 2 and 3 then our Summer league during Terms 4 and 1. We understand the time and travel parents undertake during these seasons so there will be no games during school holidays.

Location

Brunswick - Brunswick Secondary College – Dawson St Brunswick.

When

Friday from 5pm
- Grade 7-10

Saturday from 10am
- Grade 1-6

Winter league Term 2 & 3

Summer league Terms 4 and 1

*no games during school holidays

Cost

Per game: $60 per team. No referee charge
Registration: No registration fees

Seasons will have 16 rounds- season fee $960

*We encourage team managers to collect player fees and pay the season fee upfront. This helps with team commitment and saves team managers from paying extra each week

Futsal Teams in uniforms look great and if you are able to organise it we encourage it. However uniforms are not compulsory for Junior Futsal Outdoor 5s.

Local Sports will provide match balls. Shin pads are highly recommended but are not compulsory. Grass cats and moulded studs are allowed on astro turf pitches.
